The Ministry Resource Center uses various GAP (God Always Provides) ministries to meet the needs in our community. These GAP ministries are maintained with our partner churches.

Safe Harbor of Manistee County
Providing shelter to individuals and families experiencing homelessness and working to eliminate barriers to stable housing.
Winter sanctuary from November through April providing a warm, safe environment, meals, vital document recovery, housing resources and connections to agencies and resources to those experiencing homelessness in the communities we serve.

Hello, My name is Christine. I came to Safe Harbor homeless shelter in 2018 as a guest. I had lost my job and my home when my client passed away. This organization and Safe Harbor worked to get my disability, an apartment, and my self-respect. Since then, I have been volunteering at the shelter and the Manistee Store. I was even asked to participate in the Homeless Advocacy Day in Lansing, MI. It is an honor to give back and represent those in struggling times.-Christine H.
I started to volunteer with my church at Safe Harbor shelter in 2020, Family Life Center events, Manistee Resale Store, and the office campus. Volunteering for this ministry has had a positive effect on my life. I love helping others, seeing the changes in their lives, and having the opportunity to give them hope. It makes me feel good to be a part of something that helps people move forward-Yoland H.
